Dr Shree (Rajashree) Mane is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, specialising in Fertility medicine with more than 30+ years of experience in India, the UK and Australia.

She is known for her kind, gentle and supportive demeanour, and is passionate about providing personalised, evidence-based, cutting-edge scientific care to her patients, to help them start or grow their family.

Dr Mane has achieved vocational (specialist) registration in three countries, being India, the United Kingdom and finally Australia – satisfying the practical and examination requirements from reputable institutes three times, evidencing her solid understanding of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and fertility medicine.

Background, Education & Experience

Dr Mane has a postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from K.E.M. Hospital (Mumbai, India), after which she moved to the UK and gained extensive experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, and fertility medicine for over 12 years, where she worked as an IVF Research Fellow (reproductive endocrinology) in London. Upon returning to Mumbai in 2007, she initiated her private practice and was the Director and Head Consultant at Shree Origin Clinic for almost 10 years.

During her time in India, she was recognised with several National and State awards for her work with women. She was the President of the Rotary Innerwheel club (NGO) and worked extensively for underprivileged women and children in India. She has also presented papers in various academic journals and continues to actively participate in clinical research.

My Philosophy

Treating patients with infertility challenges is her passion and she is committed to fulfilling the dreams of couples going through the pain and suffering of not being able to conceive. She strongly believes that women are the centre of every and any society in the world and that it’s vital we ensure that their health, safety and happiness is made a priority.

Dr Mane keeps her knowledge of the latest developments current by reading medical journals, attending National and International Conferences and makes individual treatment plans for her patients taking into consideration their personal choices and preferences. She also believes in a holistic approach to fertility medicine, incorporating a dietitian, a naturopath and mindfulness to get the best outcome.

She believes in taking into consideration a couple’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.

Dr Mane is passionate about helping the LGBTQ+ community to achieve their dreams of having a family. She welcomes patients from all sexes, genders and sexuality.

Dr Mane is an expert in both the fertility and administrative process involved during the process.

Dr Mane is affiliated with Rainbow Fertility, which was the first dedicated fertility and IVF service provider in Australia to cater exclusively for the LGBTI+ community.

She currently offers limited obstetrics care due to having birthing rights only at Blacktown Hospital and The George Centre.

Personal Q&As

The science of creating a human embryo in a laboratory always fascinated me. To get more training in reproductive medicine I went to the UK and worked there for 12-years.
Caesarean section. The happiness of bringing a child into this world and looking at the happy faces of parents is always rewarding.
  • Many, especially the midwives in India who taught me how to deliver a baby for the first time (many years back).
  • Assisted Conception Unit manager – Nick and Nurses – who supported and encouraged me in my early days of learning IVF.
  • Professor David James of Nottingham University. My mentor and Guru. My first job in the UK where he supported me and nurtured my skills and knowledge.

This is a hard one! As I have many! My interview for the BBC World programme on Surrogacy. My lectures in India for a huge audience.

Singing – me. along with my two sisters, were trained for classical Indian music in India. I sing when I get time as it relaxes my mind and takes me to another world of happiness.
